Boiler Replacement

Boiler Replacement

This boiler replacement was an oil to gas replacement with new Crown boiler system. The owner was previously paying $500/mo in oil bills – in a 2000 square foot house. The previous boiler system was outdated in terms of effeciency and was maintaining temperatures 24hrs a day – and created very high fuel usage. The new natural gas system was installed to replace the previous boiler and indirect water heater. The client’s average monthly gas bill ran under $100 off peak to ~$160 during peak months. The end result was 55% annual fuel savings and a payback of the new installation in under 3 years. The Crown boiler has an outdoor reset which allows the boiler to adjust to outdoor ambient temperatures. It also has an outdoor venting system to further increase...

2006 New Construction Modular Home

This new home was built in Manchester in 2006. It’s a modular home that measures 53 feet long with an additional 24 foot garage built and added on site. In its place there was a much older and quite rundown home. It had not been maintained well. Thankfully we work with Advanced Deconstruction for the demolition side of things. We’ve worked with them for some time and know that they are very experienced, and as such very safe, clean and effective. They are easy to work around because they meet their due dates. Having worked together before we are able to discuss the job ahead of time so that they will not overdo it with some wiring or plumbing that could set us back. It’s good that we are able to coordinate like that. There are a lot of cowboys in the business but they have always been very reputable. Once they were done with their part of the job, it was time for us to begin. The home was built for three elderly clients and we added a 12×14 deck off the back by the dining area.  Central air and heating was installed (high efficiency gas system).  This is just one of the 14 new homes we’ve built over the past 30 years....

Rothwell Bathroom

This project was a complete bathroom renovation. The old bathroom was ripped down the studs – new electrical, plumbing, and framing was done. A new hopper window was added too. Residing (vinyl) was done on the outside to accomodate the new window. The siding was precisely matched too (the customer had uncommon 5 over 5 siding). New ceramic tile was laid, custom cherry cabinets were installed, a recessed cabinet was added flush to the wall between studs too. The shower installed was a custom Synmar wall system that included built in soap dishes. A new exhaust fan was added over the shower that has a built in humidity sensor so no switch was needed to turn it...

Manchester Front Porch

Prior to this renovation, the steps were concrete with no overhead roof – they were icy during winter and the owner fell!  We replaced the concrete steps a week later with this new a new pressure treated porch – complete with vinyl rails, siding, and soffit.  Overhead protection was also added to prevent ice and excessive water on the new porch as well. We, along with the owner, were happy with the improvements – and the owner appreciated our speedy response to ensure no one else would be...
